Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What is an affiliate?
A. An affiliate is someone who refers people to a website and earns commissions when those people buy products.
Q. Does it cost anything to be a United with Israel (UWI) Affiliate?
A. It does not cost anything to be an affiliate. You can join for free. You simply fill out the affiliate sign up form and you can start right away and begin earning money today.
Q. What are you looking for in an affiliate?
A. We are looking for individuals, companies and non-profits that are avid supporters of Israel. And who would like to promote unique and engaging products from Israel to the global marketplace and make commissions doing so.
By doing so they will promote the positive attributes of Israel by offering products that reflect the ingenuity and character of the people of Israel. They will also help Israeli companies prosper and support Israeli non-profits by a percentage of each sale going to a worthwhile cause in Israel.
And in turn they will also activate a spiritual blessing from the book of Genesis where God states, I will bless those who bless you referring to the Jewish people.
Our product offerings will range from unique art work to the cutting edge including high-tech, life sciences, agriculture technology, solar power, water treatment systems and more. Price points will range from under a hundred dollars to tens of thousands of dollars, even hundreds of thousands of dollars with some products.
Q. How do I make money?
A. You are paid a commission for the sales of products to the customers you refer to our websites. In addition you can make a commission from the product sales of each affiliate you refer as well.
Q. How much money can I make?
A. The amount of commissions you make is solely based on your efforts. There is no limit to the amount of customers you have or the number of sales you make. As with any business venture, there are no guarantees or representations of the type of income you can earn.
We have set up the UWI affiliate commission plan so that as your sales volume
increases so do your sales commission.
Your sales volume is accumulative and across all our product websites.
Once you have achieved an increased percentage commission you stay there,
so it is not something you have to re-qualify for every month.
So for example if over a 4 month period you generate $5000 from combined sales
from 3 different product sites, your commission would be 20% for any product sold.
Here is the breakdown...
- Rookie: 0 - $2499 in total sales from any site pays 10% commission on all sales
- Novice: $2500 - $4999 in total sales from any site pays 15% commission on all sales
- Professional: $5000+ - in total sales from any site pays 20% commission on all sales
Commissions are based on the retail price posted on the websites.
This will be standard for all sites, except where noted, and does not include
special sales, wholesale or bulk discounted orders.
Commissions for those will be handled on case by case basis.
Your second level commission will be 5% regardless of your first level commission.
You can refer as many customers or affiliates as you like. All referrals are tracked through your unique affiliate link with ID.
Commissions on bulk orders or wholesale orders may be modified based on the discount of the order. A discount schedule will be posted in the affiliate resource section.
Any additional modifications of sales commissions, special promotions, additional commissions for sales incentives, or prizes for contests will be posted there as well.
Q. How are my sales tracked?
A. We provide the most comprehensive tracking available. We track your referrals based on several methodologies that help ensure your referrals are tracked back to you.
After you sign up as an affiliate, you will be assigned a unique affiliate ID that tracks the sales of all your referrals to our websites. You can link this affiliate ID to your web site, ad banners or send it out in emails. You can also have a personal website domain redirect to your affiliate ID.
It is essential that all your marketing efforts include your unique affiliate ID link so that all your referrals are properly tracked to you and you will be credited the commission for all product sales from customers you refer.
Q. What length of time are my referrals tracked?
A. Most affiliate programs track referrals from a few days to a few weeks or a few months. The United with Israel affiliate program tracks your referrals indefinitely. Again this is based on having your referrals click on your unique affiliate ID link to visit our site.
The one exception would be if someone else refers them before your referral makes a purchase. We track the first time sales to the most recent referral.
So for example, if affiliate number 1 refers someone to our site and they do not purchase, but
3 months later affiliate number 2 refers the same person, and they make a purchase, then affiliate number 1 would earn the product sale commission. We believe this is the fairest way of handling this situation.
Any person you refer who signs up for our newsletter, when they buy a product that sale will be tracked back to you as well. That is why it is in your best interest to encourage all your referrals to sign up for our free email newsletter.
Q. What happens if one of my customers buys another product later on?
A. Unlike many affiliate programs where you do not make commissions for additional customer purchases at a later time, United with Israel pays you commissions for ongoing sales.
So after a customer purchases through your referral link, any additional products they purchase through our current websites, future additional products and through our ongoing marketing efforts you will earn commissions as well.
Our indefinite tracking and lifetime customer status are two of the most powerful benefits to our affiliate program.
Q. How are orders handled?
A. We handle all orders for you. We process the credit cards, ship the products and handle customer service or additional sales inquiries as well.
In order to receive commissions on all you customer referral purchases, you will want to make sure all your advertising and promotional efforts include your specific affiliate link with your ID number. This insures everyone that clicks on your affiliate ID link is tracked back to you for commission payment.
Q. Do you have a refund policy?
A. Yes we do to ensure our customers have peace of mind ordering from us. We have a 30 day money back guarantee.
Q. When are commissions paid?
A. We pay commissions on the 20th of each month following the month commissions were earned.
In a limited number of situations, the commission payment schedule may be modified. For example, if we receive a larger quantity sale or wholesale sale order and we need to wait for payment or do to the size of the order we deem it necessary to wait 30 days from when product is shipped to ensure there are no returns.
In either case we will pay commissions as soon as money is received if the commission payment date has already passed or the return period has expired.
Q. How are commissions paid?
A. Commissions are paid each month, if a total of at least $50 in commissions is earned. If at least $50 in commissions has not been earned, the commissions will roll over to the following month until $50 in commissions has been earned.
Any commissions paid out on a sale that is refunded would be deducted from your next commission payment.
Commissions are paid via PayPal. You will need to have a PayPal account in order to receive commissions. You can sign up for PayPal after you sign up as an Affiliate. You can sign up for PayPal for free. To sign up for a PayPal account click here

Q. What about paying taxes on commissions?
A. As an affiliate you are not an employee of United with Israel, you are an independent contractor. So it is your personal responsibility to keep good financial records of your earnings for tax purposes.
